This study aims to resolve the security and efficiency issues with the CSPC Mac Lab oratory’s door lock system. Given that the current method is based on physical keys and manual record keeping, the lab’s security system is vulnerable to errors, unwanted ac cess, and maintenance concerns. In collaboration with another group, an automated door lock was developed in order to get beyond these restrictions. While the other group fo cused on creating the door lock device, the researchers of this study focused on developing its web-based management system. Features like access authentication scheduler, class management, and automated log recording are all included in this system. Following the development, the system were integrated with the device via RESTful API. To assess its quality and functionality, black box testing was employed. By applying the features men tioned above, the suggested system significantly increased the security, effectiveness, and overall control of the laboratory door lock, resulting in an overall score of 0.92, indicating that the system is mostly functioning. Thus, the Pi-Lock web-based management system successfully modernizes the Mac Laboratory’s security infrastructure.
