Subject(s): Dissertation note: Masters Theses (MAN) - Nursing. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2025. Abstract: Bilateral Tubal Ligation (BTL) is a permanent contraceptive method that offers effective pregnancy prevention, yet its utilization remains low among pregnant women at Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital. This study aimed to identify the barriers preventing women from opting for BTL by examining their demographic profiles, socio-cultural influences, misconceptions, and institutional constraints. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed, with data collected through structured surveys and interviews among pregnant women admitted to the hospital. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between respondents' demographic profiles (age, educational attainment, economic status, and parity) and the identified barriers. Findings revealed that lack of awareness, fear of complications, religious and cultural beliefs, partner opposition, and financial constraints significantly impact BTL decision-making. Based on the findings, a health teaching plan is proposed to address misconceptions and improve informed decision-making regarding BTL. This study underscores the need for targeted educational interventions and policy enhancements to promote BTL as a viable contraceptive option for women.
