Lost and found operations in academic institutions are often handled manually, causing delays, difficulty in tracking items. This study developed a Web and Mobile-Based Lost and Found for Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges to address these challenges. The system automates item reporting, storage, retrieval, and communication by integrating image recognition using the Gemini 2.0 Flash Lite API, centralized logging, and automated email notifications to improve efficiency and accessibility. It was developed using CodeIgniter 4, React Native, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, following the Agile methodology. The respondents included CSPC students, CSPC-SSC, and IT experts selected for their direct involvement and knowledge of lost and found operations. Data were gathered through test cases to evaluate system functionality, usability, performance efficiency, and security. The procedure involved system orientation, actual usage, and evaluation through Black Box Testing. Results revealed that the existing procedure experiences difficulties in documentation, secure storage, retrieval, and communication. Evaluation showed excellent system performance, with Requirement-Based and Usability Testing both scoring 0.99, and Performance Efficiency and Security Testing scoring 1.00. In conclusion, the system effectively addresses manual process limitations by providing a centralized, organized, and secure platform that improves reporting, retrieval, storage, and communication. It demonstrates strong functionality, usability, performance, and security, indicating readiness for campus-wide implementation. It is recommended to maintain system performance and security through regular testing using tools such as JMeter and OWASP ZAP, ensuring improved accessibility and user experience.
