Includes bibliographical references.
The communication literacy of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges' Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students was examined in this study. This includes the profile of the respondents, their communication skills, the challenges they encounter when communicating, and the relationship between communication literacy and the challenges they encounter. This research utilized the descriptive-correlation research method; the statistical tools used were; Slovin’s Formula, Percentage Technique, Weighted Mean, Likert Scales, Rank Ordering Method, and Spearman’s Rank Order Coefficient Correlation. The findings yielded: the communication skills possessed by the students in terms of their verbal, non-verbal, written, and interpersonal, highlighting that students are more literate when it comes to interpersonal communication as this achieved the highest rank among other indicators. As to the challenges they encountered when communicating, students struggled the most during verbal communication. Communication literacy and the challenges they encounter are significantly correlated. Given the foregoing results, recommendations were crafted: develop practice sessions focusing on guiding students to construct written works effectively for better communication; encourage students to participate in peer discussion allowing them to acquire a broader understanding of the diverse communication styles; organize a workshop concentrating on proper body language, where students will learn the importance of comprehending various nonverbal cues given by others. Based on the result, an action plan was created to enhance communication literacy and provide solutions to the challenges encountered by BSOA students.
