The RFIVE-LOCK is a smart lock system designed for the CS Laboratory, using RFID and fingerprint verification to enhance security and automate attendance. It ensures flexible access control by allowing faculty and students entry based on scheduling, and features a push button for bathroom breaks and class dismissal. The system was developed using the Extreme Programming (XP) Iterative Model, which involved planning, requirements gath- ering, design, implementation, and testing phases. A mixed-methods approach, combining interviews and surveys, was used to gather user feedback and assess system performance. The study also included comprehensive testing, including user acceptability, integration, load, and security assessments. The overall results, 0.97, showed that the RFIVE-LOCK successfully automated traditional access control, improving security and efficiency in the CS Laboratory. This innovative solution addresses the limitations of manual systems and provides a more reliable, user-friendly access management system for the laboratory. The implementation of this system offers significant benefits in terms of both time-saving and enhanced security.
