Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BCAED) - Culture and Arts Education. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2025. Abstract: This study analyzes the generational gap on the customs and beliefs among Generation X, Millennial, and Generation Z in the Municipality of Baao. Customs and beliefs are traditional practices and ideas that are passed down through generations and are an important part of a culture's identity. Every community and culture in the world has a unique collection of traditions and customs that have developed throughout time. Interview were used as the main tool to collect data for the descriptive method, which takes a qualitative approach. The researchers surveyed 5 participants from each of three generations: Generation Z (ages 13-28), Millennial (ages 29-44) and Generation X (ages 45-60) from Baao, Camarines Sur—for a total of 15 participants. Furthermore, the researcher employed the interview method, documentary analysis, and archival analysis. The findings revealed varied practices and observation of the customs and beliefs reflected to Christmas, Fiesta/Pintakasi, and Semana Santa in Baao, Camarines Sur. Implications of the customs and beliefs in Socioeconomic, Spiritual, and Cultural Aspects explains that customs and beliefs, often rooted in tradition and local history, shape how people interact with each other, how they perceive their roles within society, and how they engage in economic activities. The moral compass, sense of community, and general identity of the Baao people are shaped in part by these spiritual traditions. These customs influence how people relate to one another, their surroundings, and the wider world.
