The integration of Artificial Intelligence has brought a lot of attention to the learning environment recently. It has revolutionized various fields, such as media and communication studies, translanguaging and language teaching. Thus, this study aims to identify the acceptability, opportunities, and challenges of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Language Instructions among English Instructors in a Polytechnic College of the Philippines under the framework of Fred Davis (1989) which is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study revealed that by combining the integration of AI writing tools with traditional methods enhances the teaching process as a whole. The study employed explanatory sequential design (ESD), a mixed-method research approach that involves collecting quantitative data, followed by qualitative data. The researchers found out that integrating these tools into educational settings improves the learners’ writing skills, adaptability, and language learning process. Moreover, the study presents a fair assessment of the use of AI tools pointing to their advantages, disadvantages as well as the level of acceptance of using these tools. This highlights that there are important issues that need to be addressed, such as the over-reliance on AI and its capacity to affect writing and critical thinking. The researchers recommend professional development and training for English Instructors. Furthermore, the researchers suggest establishing a collaborative approach for AI integration. Lastly, the researchers recommend associating and conquering barriers to AI integration in Language Instruction. Overall, this study fills the gap by providing insight of using AI tools, emphasizing its opportunities and challenges.
