Tuberculosis (TB) remains a pressing global health issue, especially in areas with socioeconomic disparities and limited healthcare access. This study examines the TB treatment services and challenges encountered by healthcare providers in Rural Health Units (RHUs) 1 and 2 in Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines. The study's scope is limited to Rural Health Units 1 and 2 in Nabua, Camarines Sur, exclusively involving healthcare workers employed at those units, encompassing physicians, nurses, midwives, medical technologists, and sanitation inspectors. Utilizing a Descriptive-Correlational research design, data was gathered from 47 healthcare professionals through a custom questionnaire. Results show a varied demographic composition among respondents, with a predominant age range of 31-40 years and a notable gender imbalance favoring females. While healthcare providers demonstrate proficiency in TB prevention and management, obstacles such as stigma, diagnostic tool availability, and medication supply persist. Notably, age emerges as a significant factor influencing TB challenges. Recommendations involve enhancing access to resources, conducting health education initiatives, providing mental health training, implementing community-based programs, and advocating for government support. Implementing these measures can strengthen TB prevention and management efforts in RHUs, leading to better treatment outcomes and decreased transmission rates in Nabua, Camarines Sur.
