The feasibility of a floating sun-tracking solar farm in Sta. Justina, Forebay, Buhi Camarines Sur aims to establish a strong framework for the development of design and simulation of inflatable solar technology by integrating with environmental and economical perspective. This study employed descriptive and developmental research methods, with feasibility evaluation, to explore the design and simulation of a floating farm system. A feasibility study was conducted to evaluate the viability of the proposed project, examining technical, economical, legal, operational, and time related factors. In additions the researchers incorporated developmental methodology to design the floating solar farm system, analyze data, and innovate new models.
The design and simulation of a 450KW sun-tracking floating solar photovoltaic system (FSPV) indicates a major advancement in utilizing renewable energy resources in the region. The combination of sun-tracking technology with floating solar system shows of earnings potential due to areas high solar irradiance and unique geographic features. The simulation indicates that FSPV system will generate substantial amount of electricity and shows positive environmental benefits. The project's alignment with local and national energy goals highlights its potential to promote energy independence and support climate change mitigation efforts in the Philippines.
