Subject(s): Dissertation note: Master's Thesis (MAN) - Nursing. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2024. Abstract: The quantitative study assessed the compliance of postpartum women with universal newborn hearing screening tests at birthing homes in Tabaco City. The descriptive correlational design was utilized with the questionnaire as the main data-gathering instrument. It was distributed to 209 postpartum women who delivered their babies at four birthing homes in Tabaco City from July 2023 to December 2023. The gathered data were analyzed using the percentage technique, weighted mean, and Kendall's Tau-b Correlation Coefficient. The results revealed that the majority of the respondents are single, housewives, have a family monthly income of Php 5,000.00 and below, and completed 1-3 deliveries. Most are 26-30 years old and are high school graduates. The postpartum women partially complied with universal newborn hearing screening (UNHS) tests at birthing homes in Tabaco City. The level of compliance of postpartum women to UNHS tests at birthing homes in Tabaco City is affected by internal and external factors. The results further revealed that the profile of the respondents is not correlated with the level of compliance with UNHS. On the other hand, there exists no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the factors that affect the level of compliance of postpartum women with universal newborn hearing screening tests at birthing homes in Tabaco City along with internal and external factors. It is recommended that the proposed plan be implemented to enhance the compliance of postpartum women with universal newborn hearing screening tests at birthing homes in Tabaco City.
