SmartLock is an advanced security and attendance tracking system designed for CCS IT Laboratory 1, integrating RFID authentication with real-time notifications and alarms. By automating access verification and attendance monitoring, it eliminates inefficiencies in traditional logging methods while enhancing security. Developed using an iterative, user-centered approach, SmartLock ensures a balance between administrative oversight and data privacy. It employs RSA encryption and SHA-512 hashing for secure data transmission be-tween the server and sensors. Performance evaluation and black-box testing confirmed its robustness, achieving a 1.00 functional score in security, efficiency, and usability. User acceptance testing (UAT) also indicated high satisfaction, reinforcing its applicability in academic settings. By reducing unauthorized access risks and optimizing attendance man-agement, SmartLock paves the way for smarter, safer, and more efficient educational insti-tutions, making security and automation essential components of modern schools.
