This paper presents the socio-economic profile, as well as the level of awareness and preparedness of households in Libon, Ligao City, Oas, and Polangui Albay, with regards to the transition to digital TV. The number of samples is considered using Slovin's Formula with a 5% error. The data was gathered through the use of a questionnaire that focused on measuring the socio-economic profile, and the awareness and preparedness of the respondents. The data was analyzed using the percentage and rank ordering method for the socio-economic profile, and the weighted mean and the Likert's scale system for the level of awareness and preparedness of the samples. Recommendations to improve the awareness and preparedness of the respondents were also provided.
