Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSECE) - Electronics Engineering. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2024. Abstract: This study investigates the spectrum occupancy of LTE cellular networks in selected barangays in Rinconada, focusing on Bands 28 and 1 for Globe, Smart, and Dito networks. Utilizing a quantitative approach and a handheld spectrum analyzer, the research aims to determine and analyze the frequency utilization of selected cell sites in Rinconada Area. The study reveals significant variations in unutilized frequencies across locations, emphasizing the need for a nuanced, site- specific approach. Findings highlight underutilization challenges in certain areas, and attribute signal strength variations to factors like vegetation and distance from cellular towers. Among the significant results, Sagrada, Bula (Site A) with a 63.64% occupancy rate, exhibits an unutilized frequency of 834-836 MHz, while Site B shows 48.39%. In San Francisco, Baao, the unutilized frequency is 2100-2110 MHz with a 51.59% occupancy rate in Site A, and Site B demonstrates 42.52%. Goyudan, Bato shares the available frequency of 2100-2150 MHz, with Site A at 25.03% and Site B at 30.90%. Duran, Balatan has 715-720 MHz available frequency, with Site A at 64.94% occupancy percentage and Site B at 45.65%. Sta. Justina, Buhi has an available frequency of 830-870 MHz, with Site A at 21.92% and Site Bat 9.36% occupancy. San Antonio, Iriga has available frequencies of 703-760 and 780-795 MHz, with a 41.84% occupancy in Site A, while Site B has a higher 52.40%. San Isidro, Nabua (Site A) demonstrates an occupancy rate of 79.34% and Site B shows 48.50% with available frequency ofs 837-840 MHz.
