Abstract: This study explores the challenges faced by college students in the Lake Sector of Buhi, Camarines Sur, in balancing academics and personal life. This paper aims to discover the difficulties that college students in the Lake Sector of Buhi, Camarines encounter in their academic performance and personal life, focusing on their profiles, the specific challenges faced, the factors affecting their success, and potential intervention programs to enhance their balance between academics and personal commitments. Eighty (80) students from three barangays: Iraya, Ipil, and Sta. Cruz. However, due the challenges in data collection, including time constraints and difficulty accessing students in Barangay Ibayugan, the final sample comprised 40 conveniently selected students from Iraya, Ipil, and Sta. Cruz: Ipil (26), Iraya (24), and Sta. Cruz (30) who was systematically chosen, served as the respondent. The descriptive method was used to attain the objectives. The instrument used in this study with a validated questionnaire as the main gathering instrument for data collection and was interpreted using weighted mean. The result showed that the college students in the Lake Sector of Buhi face significant challenges in balancing academics and personal life, with the interplay of academic demands, financial pressures, and logistical difficulties significantly impacting their well-being and academic performance. The study recommends Time Management Workshops, Stress Management Resources, Academic Support Services, Peer Support Networks, Wellness Programs, Flexible scheduling Student Life Balance Initiatives to help students in Buhi's lake sector better balance their academic and personal lives. This study concludes that college students in the lake sector of Buhi, struggle to balance academic performance and personal life due to academic pressures, financial constraints, and logical challenges. Therefore, a multifaceted approach involving enhanced academic support, stress management resources, and flexible scheduling is recommended to improve student well-being and academic success.
