Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSCE) - Civil Engineering. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2024. Abstract: This research study entitled "Design of Hanging Bridge at Sta. Justina Buhi Camarines Sur". The aims of this study is to determine the existing condition of hanging bridge in terms of Physical Structure, Functionality, Hanging Bridge Approaches, Design of hanging bridge in terms of: Geotechnical Investigation such as Sieve Analysis, Plastic Limit & Liquid Limit Relative Compaction, Soil Classification, Design of hanging Bridge. Lastly, the research procedures are site inspection and investigation, surveying works. The proposed Hanging Bridge design is suspension Bridge type. Its foundation is elevated, protected by Steel Sheet Pile for the safety against scouring. The bridge is suspended by a steel cable connected to a deadman footing. The platform of the superstructure uses a thick checkered plate. Also the design utilized PCCP. The bridge is supported by structural steel and metal railings. The researchers recommend that the existing hanging bridge should undergo a continuous evaluation and inspection so that the upgrade can be made. This study recommends a suspension bridge design to the project site. It may provide a better service to the residents at San Ramon and Sta. Justina. The local government must provide a fund to build and improve the hanging bridge from its current state. They must also provide funds for the bridge's preservation and upkeep.
