One of the focus majors of Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education program is the field of Theater Arts. The students of this program need to have enough knowledge to be more equipped in the near future for their professional journey. Knowledge, skills, and ideas are very important for students to be fully develop as a future mentor. Engaging from this field is very important to build their capabilities for them to be more confident as future educator in the near future.
The present study explored on Level of Engagement of Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education students in Theater Arts and to its main focus where in the researchers' intentions is to look for their engagement levels on every part of theater arts such as acting, playwriting, directing and directing. The researchers used the Quantitative Research design to measure the capabilities and knowledge of the students in the field of theater arts. By measuring the levels of engagement of the Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education, the researchers surveyed one-hundred (100) students of BCAED and found out that most of the students of this program has low level of engagement in terms of their experiences, knowledge and ideas about the field of theater arts. The researchers used tables to summarize the data gathered (tabulating method).
In conclusion, this study will help the individuals especially the future mentors that engaging themselves into Theater Arts to improve their capabilities, knowledge and boosts their interest in the field of theater. Implementing new activities, workshops and seminars can be produced by the help of this research. Also, finding all the gaps and improvements in this field is very important because we are living in the 21st Century Era where in all that surrounds us are modernized.
