Libraries play a crucial role in facilitating learning, offering a diverse array of resources and services that extend beyond the capabilities of the internet. In contemporary society, there is a growing reliance on the internet for accessing information in daily life. However, the unique offerings of libraries, including access to an extensive collection of books, research databases, and the expertise of knowledgeable librarians, remain invaluable. This study recognized the enduring significance of libraries in the learning process, aiming to address specific challenges in the management of La Purisima National High School's library through the development of an innovative Web-Based La Purisima National High School (LPNHS) Library Management System with Dactylogram Biometrics. The existing manual processes in the LPNHS library, including data entry, cataloging, circulation, and monitoring, were identified as challenges. The research adopted Extreme Programming methodology and a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection. The system's development involved identifying challenges, creating modules for admin management, cataloging, circulation. inventory, Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), reports, and patrons' management, and integrating dactylogram biometrics for secure registration. Through various testing techniques, including user acceptance testing, equivalence class partitioning testing, and integration testing, the system's overall functionality and successful development were demonstrated. Emphasizing its potential to revolutionize library management and contribute to the overall learning environment at LPNHS, this research highlighted the significant impact of technology in educational settings.
