Tourism generally refers to the activity of individuals traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for leisure, business, or other purposes. In relation to tourism, this study is primarily concerned with the perspective of local residents on sex tourism in Rinconada. Specifically, it sought to determine the demographic profile of respondents in terms of age, sex, location, monthly income, and frequency of visit; and negative impacts of tourism activities along tourism establishments and local residents. The researcher utilized the descriptive research method. Three hundred eighty (380) respondents from various municipalities in Rinconada were selected through random sampling. Self-made questionnaire was used by the researchers to gather data from their respondents. Results under demographic profile present that majority of the respondents were: 18-24 years old; male, from the City of Iriga; earn a monthly income below P1,000; and visit bars, hotels, nightclubs, resorts, etc. once a week. Further, the negative impacts of tourism activities along tourism establishments have an Average Weighted Mean (AWM) of 2.33 interpreted as Seldom. Impact control measures can be proposed based on the findings of the study. In conclusion, the community attachment theory posits that individuals' emotional bonds to their community influence their attitudes, behaviors, and overall well-being. In the context of the research titled "Perspective of Local Residents on Sex Tourism in Rinconada," the study recommended engaging with local communities to ensure that sex tourism is managed in a way that benefits local people and respects their culture and traditions. This can includes involving local communities in decision-making processes and promoting sustainable tourism practices.
