With the latest technological innovations and advancements, the possibilities for
future innovation and growth are endless. Looking at the Academic Realm, utilizing a web
portal to manage academic transactions is highly beneficial for institutions since it
automates the transaction process and data management within the school. With these, this
study was conducted to develop a system that automates the transaction process and data
management in Mother Theresa Colegio de Iriga, Inc. This study aims to automate
academic processes and manage transactions, including admission, enrollment, academic
record requests, and grade posting. It includes added security measures like SMS One Time
Pin (OTP) for user authentication, enhancing the system security. The study collects both
quantitative and qualitative data, with respondents including registrar staff/administrators,
faculty, students, and IT experts. Data gathering is done through unstructured interview
and survey questionnaires, covering system testing, acceptance testing, and security
testing. The study employs the Extreme Programming Agile Model Software Lifecycle to
align the system with client needs, building high-quality, adaptable software. The
arithmetic mean was utilized to statistically analyze the data gathered. The Web-Based
Academic Service Portal is completely functional, highly acceptable, and has a low-risk
severity level as supported by black box testing. Further recommendations involve the
design of a centralized system for Mother Theresa Colegio's three Bicol Branches,
incorporating a user-friendly mobile app to optimize administrative tasks and enhance
academic processes, with a specific emphasis on conducting thorough evaluations using
both Black Box and White Box Testing Techniques.
