Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis (BSMATH) - Mathematics. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2023. Abstract: This paper is an expository thesis study of the article entitled "On the Diophantine equation (p + 4n)X + pY z2" by Wachirarak Orosram, Kitsanuphong Makonwattana and Saichon Khongsawat that was published in European journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics in the year 2022. Basic concepts in number theory such as definition and theorem were discussed through examples as well as illustrations to better understand the main results of this paper. This paper, presents the detailed discussion of lemmas and corollary; examples and illustrations are presented to easily explain the main results. The concepts reviewed are the Diophantine equation and Catalan's conjecture or Millailescu theorem were discussed.
