Air pollution has emerged as a serious environmental health issue caused by the presence of air pollutants in the atmosphere. This study aims to modify a portable air purifier with an air quality monitoring and filtering system for recycling and cleaning the air indoors. The device is developed as the concern for indoor air pollution has arisen and to introduce an economic and environmental-friendly system for filtering the air. The objective of this study is to design and develop a device that will purify the air by trapping particulate matter, carbon dioxide, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the filters and to evaluate the performance of the device in terms of operation, effectiveness, power consumption and safety. This study will also determine the cost analysis of the device. The researchers aim that this study will be beneficial to the users.
