Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSEE) - Electrical Engineering. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2022. Abstract: LoRa Based Solar Powered Flood Monitoring and Alert System was supported by a LoRa module that can automatically transmit data up to 1 km in line of sight and up to 200m in non-line of sight. Semtech SX1278 LoRa chip was used to provide a low-power and long-range wireless communication method for the offsite sensor nodes (Branch Nodes). The time and date are monitored by the RTC module. The microcontroller used was Arduino Uno R3 both in transmitter and receiver. The water level sensors transmit data to Arduino and transmits data in long range by the aid of SX1278 LoRa Module The time and date are monitored by the RTC module. The study used 12dbi 5dbi 433mhz antenna for the receiver and 433mhz 6dbi antenna for the transmitter All connections were tested, and the Arduino Uno was programmed so that the desired function of the device can be implemented. A series of trials were conducted to test the functionality, accuracy, and effectiveness of the device.
