Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSME) - Mechanical Engineering. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2022. Abstract: This research study focused on developing a Hydro Power Electric Generator using Kaplan Turbine at Lologon River in Buhi, Camarines Sur. Specifically, this study sought to answer the design of Hydro Electric Generator using Kaplan Turbine; the materials, tools and equipment that are needed for fabrication; the functionality of the proposed hydro-electric generator in terms of its voltage output, generate power output and operation and safety. This study focuses on the design and manufacture of a Kaplan turbine hydro-electric generator. The Kaplan turbine was chosen by the researchers because it has a low head and does not require a greater elevation to operate. This research tries to encourage alternate energy sources to reduce the use of non-renewable resources. The output device will be tested along the Lologon River in Buhi, Camarines Sur, where irrigation with a higher flow rate is available, which is ideal for the proposed device's operation.
