Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSCE) - Civil Engineering. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2022. Abstract: The National Building Code is the bible for engineers and architects when it comes to construction. Manually searching for information in the NBCP will take a while, and understanding, memorizing, and implementing the building code will require some practice, especially for students. Hence, the researchers created a website as an alternative learning platform for the NBCP, as it is convenient to use, especially after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, where technology is becoming a more prominent form of learning in today's classrooms. The website is entitled "Sukat Bahay," the Filipino words for measure and house. The study aimed to design an online learning platform associated with building codes and standards, to create an academic online platform that will be useful to students, graduates, and engineering faculties in acquiring data and information effectively, and, finally, to evaluate the effectiveness of the online learning platform as an alternative learning tool. This study is descriptive research employing the developmental method and an agile model, which includes planning, design, development, testing, and evaluation phases. Six (6) design principles, such as multimedia, contiguity, modality, redundancy, coherence, and personalization, were also the basis for making the online platform effective for the target audience. The website, which analyzes NBCP 1977 and NBCP 2005 (IRR), includes different features such as code illustration, comparison, bookmarking, and assessment. The software tools used for the website development are Laravel Version 8, Composer, XAMMP 7.5, + (MySQL & PHP), Bootstrap Version 4, JavaScript, and the jQuery Library. The study was conducted at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, specifically with 3rd and 4th year civil engineering students and faculties. Based on the evaluation of the Sukat Bahay, it left a highly acceptable overall impression with a weighted mean of 4.82 and 4.90, respectively, for students and faculties.
