This paper presents the development of a Size-based Sorter using an Electromechanical Device for Nile Tilapia in the aquaculture industry. The sorter utilizes a microcontroller (Integrated Development Environments) IDE for programming. It aims to automate the sorting process based on fish size, providing efficiency and reducing labor-intensive manual sorting methods. Testing was conducted on Nile Tilapia of various sizes. The sorter achieved a high degree of accuracy in size categorization, with an average accuracy rate of 98.86% and a precision of 98.29%. The manual sorter or grader had an average accuracy and precision of 71.67%. The sorter's key advantage is its compatibility with existing aquaculture systems, making it a practical solution for farmers who can incorporate the sorter into their workflow without significant disruptions. The size-based sorter using electromechanical devices offers accurate size categorization for small, medium and large sizes, it improved operation, and compatibility with existing aquaculture systems, which can greatly enhance productivity, reduce labor costs, and optimize resource allocation. This technology provides a streamlined approach to aquaculture operations, ultimately contributing to the growth and sustainability of the industry.
