A growing number of people worldwide are wheelchair dependent, either permanently or temporarily In many cases, this results in reliance on some form of external support mechanism. The project's goal is to develop a device that will aid in the movement of people with impairm impairments up and down stairs. This will encourage disabled people's incorporation into the community while also posing a technological barrier to the design The lifting mechanism in this project lifts the platform vertically using a single-phase induction motor, a variable frequency drive (VFD) to control the speed, a limit switch to secure the safety of the load as it reaches, a load cell (weight sensor) to ensure the capacity of the platform, a gear reducer, and a relay. Many disabled people and wheelchair users now have difficulty mounting and descending stairs. More movement flexibility can lead to an improved quality of life through the platform without transferring from their wheelchair, and it maintains the speed of the mechanism to secure safety as it ascends and descends.
