Transaction management system was created to modernize barangay management from a conventional standpoint. Generally, the main objective of the study was to enhance current administrative processes such as requesting document, making complaints, and producing accurate
reports. The objective of this study is to identify the problems encountered in the processes of the system in terms of barangay transaction management system, to design and develop a system with the features stated in the barangay transaction management system and evaluate the system using block box testing using the following methods. This study applied the software development methodology known as extreme programming (XP) to agile development processes. It also used purposive sampling and random sampling to select the 50 respondents. The majority of respondents indicated through thematic analysis and unstructured interview that they had trouble with the present manual barangay transaction process because it took too long to store the paperwork. The overall result of the study is that the system is highly functional and the barangay needs it to enhance its transaction management procedures based on the test results from the various system testing that was conducted in the barangay. Future researchers are advised to conduct a parallel study in another relevant research environment to further validate the findings regarding the frequency of document management problems encountered, improve the system by incorporating statistical reports such as the barangay annual poverty rate, annual household income, and barangay population growth, and conduct a similar study using other techniques of system performance.
