The use of computer technology in several online transactions in medical facilities has made various operations and transactions fast and easy. The traditional way of setting appointments and managing records may result in heavy workloads and record loss. With these, this study was conducted to develop a system that will easily schedule appointments for patients with SMS notifications and manage records in RHU II. Generally, this study targets to develop a medical appointment and record management system to shift from the manual process of scheduling to online scheduling and managing patient records in RHU II. This study used a mixed-method research design to contextualize the data thematically and statistically. The respondents of this study were the physician and medical staff of the RHU II. Further, the system only covers the check-up and animal bite. In gathering the data, an interview, observation, and burp suite tool were used. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted using thematic analysis and weighted mean. Based on analysis of the gathered data, in determining problems encountered in the scheduling process, record management, and data retrieval, researchers identified problems such as time-consuming in managing records, scheduling, and difficulty in retrieving data. Further, upon evaluation of the security performance of the system, it reveals that the system has a low severity with a weighted mean of 1.21 which can protect itself from XSS, SQL injection, and session hijacking. Therefore, the medical appointment and record management system is reasonable enough to be used in the RHU II.
