Summary, etc. Flood hazard susceptibility map are vital tools for disaster preparedness, still their effectiveness hinges on how well the residents understand and utilize the map. This study investigates the perceptions of the residents in Poblacion area in Nabua, Camarines Sur, regarding the clarity, usefulness, and applicability of the map. Through in-depth interviews with 11 participants with comprising both barangay officials and constituents, the research discovered key challenges, including poor legibility, confusing symbols, and a reliance on real time updates over static maps. The residents suggested a need for clearer visuals, larger formats, and simplified language to make the map more accessible. many also suggested practical enhancement, such as marked evacuation routes, flood depth indicators, and emergency contact information, to transform the maps from passive references into actionable guides during emergencies. While other participants valued the maps for disaster planning, others underutilized them, preferring social media or official updates for real-time information.
