Summary, etc. Clinical exposure in psychiatric and mental health nursing is different from that in other areas of nursing because of many factors. Despite many negative factors associated with it, clinical exposure can help students in psychiatric and mental health nursing programs gain valuable experience. As such, this study aimed to determine the impact of psychiatric clinical exposure of 4t year student nurses of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. The investigation encompassed an analysis of the demographic profile of the 4th year student nurses, an evaluation to determine the impact of psychiatric clinical exposure and the challenges experienced by the student nurses across multiple determinants. It also aims to determine the significant relationship between the profile of the student nurses and the impact of psychiatric clinical exposure, and the challenges experienced by the student nurses during their psychiatric clinical exposure. The target respondents of this study are 150 4th year student nurses of SY 2023-2024, second semester and utilized descriptive- correlational quantitative design and purposive sampling technique as the sampling procedure. However, the responses received were seventy-seven (77) students which is less than the target respondents. The result showed that most of the respondents were 22 years old; female; religiously active; have a monthly family income of Php 19,040 to Php 38,080 and a family structure of nuclear. There is an impact that affect the psychiatric clinical exposure of 4th year student nurses along physical, mental, emotional, and social. Moreover, there are challenges that moderately challenged the student nurses during their psychiatric clinical exposure. There is no significant relationship between the impact of psychiatrie clinical exposure and the profile of the students in terms of sex assigned at birth, religion, monthly family income, and family structure. However, the study reveals a significant relationship between the impact of psychiatric clinical exposure. And no significant relationship between the profile of the students and the challenges experienced by the student nurses during their psychiatric clinical exposure. A proposed plan was made to improve the 4th year student nurses' exposure to psychiatric clinical settings.
