The study aims to analyze the leadership style of the uniformed personnel in the municipality of Buhi, and how it predicts team productivity. Thirty-six (36) Philippine National Police and eighteen (18) Bureau of Fire Protection officers from the Municipality of Buhi, were purposively selected to serve as the respondents. The Descriptive-Correlational Method was used to attain the objectives. The instrument used in this study was research-made survey questionnaire for data collection and was interpreted using a weighted mean, percentage, 4-point likert scale, ranking, and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings revealed that the Uniformed Personnel both from Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection fully implementing the leadership styles (e.g. Transformational, Transactional, Laissez-faire Leadership Styles). Furthermore, they perform their duties as public service agencies extremely productive. However, the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection were lacking the use of laissez-faire leadership style. Moreover, the leadership styles demonstrated by the uniformed personnel significantly correlated to team productivity. The researcher's proposed an action plan to enhance and develop the team productivity of the uniformed personnel entitled 'Husay Serbisyo'. The recommendations include; the personnel may engage in refresher courses and advanced leadership seminars, the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection may sustain the use of transfo0rmational and transactional leadership styles while also improving other aspect like laissez-faire. The personnel may regularly assess their leadership styles to ensure its effectiveness and if it significantly correlates with the team productivity and met the evolving needs of the personnel. The action plan designed by the researchers in this study may be considered and adopted by the superior or commanding officer to ensure that they maintain higher team productivity. |
