The researchers used the descriptive - correlation research design to investigate the modern family planning method utilization among women of reproductive age of La Purisima, Nabua, Camarines Sur. The objectives of this study were as follows: 1) profile of the respondents; 2) level of awareness of the respondents on utilization of family planning; 3) factors that affects the utilization of family planning among the respondents; 4) the significant relationship between the profile and level of awareness of the respondents; and 5) proposed plan to enhance the utilization of family planning.

The findings showed that majority of the respondents are within 30-39 years old, married/cohabitating, religiously active, college graduates as well as their partners, with number of children of 3-4, and with monthly income ranging from P10,957 to P21, 914. Data showed that respondents were very aware on abstinence in terms of natural method, meanwhile, the birth control pills and injectables have highest level of awareness in terms of artificial method. Moreover, respondents' highest rating on factors that affects their utilization was having a limited access to family planning. All of the respondents' profile has no significant relationship on their level of awareness in terms of natural and artificial methods which led to the decision of accepting the hypothesis. Lastly, there was a plan that proposed to enhance the utilization on family planning through radio broadcasting.
