Summary, etc. This study investigates the effectiveness of simulation-based learning in enhancing the clinical skills of midwifery students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. It explores how intrinsic factors like motivation and confidence, along with extrinsic factors such as curriculum alignment and clinical exposure, influence learning outcomes. A survey was conducted to assess students' perceptions, confidence, and demographic information. The results show that students, primarily in their twenties, female, and second-year students, found simulation-based learning highly beneficial in improving their clinical knowledge, technical skills, and overall preparedness for real-life scenarios. Additionally, monthly family income was found to influence students' attitudes and performance, with students from lower-income backgrounds showing different levels of engagement compared to others. Intrinsic factors like motivation and confidence, combined with extrinsic factors such as the relevance of the curriculum and sufficient clinical exposure, significantly contributed to students' success. However, demographic factors like age, sex, and year level did not show a significant effect on learning outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of both personal factors and institutional support in optimizing simulation-based learning, emphasizing its value in preparing midwifery students for real-world healthcare settings and suggesting areas for further improvement in educational practices.
