Summary, etc. Poultry egg incubation is a critical activity that requires a steady and reliable energy supply for optimal performance and profitability. A low-cost, fuel-type heating mechanism incubator has been developed to address this issue, offering a more efficient and reliable alternative to existing incubators. The incubator uses a fuel-type heating mechanism as the primary heat source, addressing the problem during a power outage. It can be used as an emergency-purpose device that easily allows egg production in incubation as it does not depend on electricity. The device is automated without electricity, using a battery to run the microcontroller and other components. This microcontroller-based fuel-type egg incubator can accommodate up to 112 chicken eggs. It has been tested using 21 fertile eggs and maintained an ideal temperature range of 37.5-38°C with a humidity level of 55-65% during the first 18 days and 36.5-37°C with a humidity level of 65-75% during the last three days of incubation. The device has a hatchability rate of 76.19%, which is competitive with existing market products. The total cost of the materials utilized in making the incubator is about P9, 457.00, including fabrication fees and other expenses. The study provides a sustainable and cost-effective solution for the egg incubation industry.
