Summary, etc. This study aimed to determine the effect of social media to the academic performance of CSPC students at Buhi Campus and sought to answer the following questions; to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of gender, geographic location, family income, gadget used, social media used: The academic performance of the 3rd year BSOA students. The positive and negative effects of social media; Recommendations may be formulated to overcome to negative effect of social media into academic performance of the 3rd year students of CSPC BUhi Campus. <br/>The conclusion drawn from the study are as follows; There are mainly female respondents. The average monthly. Family income of the respondents was less 10,000 bellows. The majority of them are using mobile phone. The majority of them are using Facebook. The general academic in the previous semester of 3rd year students of CSPC Buhi Campus had the heighest general weighted average of 80 to 84. And there are positive and negative effects of social media in the academic performance of students. It gives unlimited opportunity to create lesson based on individual interest, instructor can organize information in a certain way according to different learning style. The researcher's recommendation to improve students of social media in academic performance.
