This study was focused on the determinants of performance in the nurses licensure examination of graduate's batch 2020 of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges in Nabua, Camarines Sur. It aimed to identify key factors that impact success or hinder achievement. The quantitative phase involves a meticulous analysis of examination scores and academic records to explore correlations between performance and various demographic variables.
The study was founded on two theories on cognitive load theory and theory of educational productivity. The descriptive design was used to determine the profile of the respondents and the factors that affect their performance in passing the nursing licensure examination. The statistical treatment used were the percentage technique, weighted mean, and the chi-square test of independence after a modified survey questionnaire through google form was used in gathering the necessary data needed in this study. The respondents consisted of 29 nursing graduates of batch 2020.
Findings revealed that most of the respondents were female, aged 20-25, single, with monthly family income of 21,915 to 43,823 and attended review center. Student, family, school, review center, personal, and subject factors all have substantial impact on Nursing Licensure Examination graduates' success. Further it shows that there is no significant relationship in passing nursing licensure examination on the profile. The proposed plan is likely to improve the performance of nursing graduates of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges in the Nursing Licensure Examinations.
